How to get started with Ambient

Welcome to Ambient! Follow these steps to get started using Ambient and take full advantage of your smart home and community:

1. Accept your invitation
2. Install the Ambient app
3. Create your account
4. Verify your account
5. Save your recovery key

1. Accept your invitation

When you moved into your home, Ambient sent you an email invitation to your community. You'll need to accept this invitation to get access your smart home and community.

Important:

• Use your phone.
  You can't accept your invitation on a desktop computer. Use the phone where you'll use the Ambient app.
• Use your own invitation.
  If you try to accept another person's invitation, when you sign in to the app you'll see a message informing you that you have no access.

To accept your invitation, tap "Create account" in the invitation.

Tip: If tapping "Create account" doesn't work, try copying and pasting the blue link below Create account into your phone's browser.

2. Install the Ambient app

If you haven't installed the app yet, you'll see a message prompting you to install it. Follow the prompts to install and open the app.

If you've already installed the app, it opens automatically.

3. Create your account

1. In the app, tap "Create account".
2. Enter the email address or phone number you want to use to sign in to Ambient.
   Important: You can't change the email address or phone number you use as the username for your account. If you use a phone number, it must be able to accept text messages.
3. Enter a password.
4. Check the box to agree with Ambient's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5. Tap "Continue".

4. Verify your account

Verify your account with the verification code Ambient sent to your email or phone number.

1. Find your verification code.
2. Enter your verification code in the app.
3. Tap "Submit code".

5. Save your recovery key

In the app, you'll see your recovery key. Ambient will also send the recovery key to your email or phone number.

Important: Save your recovery key in a secure and easy-to-remember location. You'll need this code to recover access to your account if you ever forget your password.

You're ready to start using your smart home with the Ambient app.
