Resident move-in and move-out checklists
To ensure that your resident move-ins and move-outs go smoothly and that Ambient continues to run during unit turnover, we recommend that you share these checklists with your residents.
Important: These are suggested steps only. Please review and customize the checklists for your residents based on the unit's device configuration and your community policies.
Move-in
Follow these steps to take advantage of your smart home and community:
- Connect the internet in your home.
Work with your property staff or internet service provider to connect the internet in your home. - Make sure your Level Hub or Level Bridge is connected.
Your smart devices communicate with Ambient using a Level Hub or Level Bridge. See Level Hub or Bridge connection. - Get started with the Ambient app.
To get started you’ll need to accept your invitation and create your Ambient account. See How to get started with Ambient. - Pair your Level Doorbell.
You'll need to pair the Level Doorbell installed at your door before you can start using it with the Ambient app. See How to pair a Level Doorbell. - Add a door code.

Move-out
When you move out, remember to leave the following in your unit:
- the router, if it was supplied by your community
- the Level Hub, including any Ethernet and power cords, or the Level Bridge
